“Parallel Existence” is a sound/video site-specific installation located in 49, Sigad Damanhur passage, Fouad Street, Alexandria, Egypt. The work was inspired by a decaying plumbing tube at the back of a partially abandoned office building from the 60’s, where due to the water leaking from the pipe and the cave like nature of the passage transformed the space into a non-normative concrete jungle.

Attempting to portray the uncanny nature of the space through focusing on the high frequencies of the sounds in the space and the intensity of the distant visual details of the surrounding area.
